Your Ultimate Scenario
(This is a sample of some questions I use when consulting with both buyers and sellers - to really get to know their wants, needs, fears, hopes and dreams.)
You have a picture in your mind of what the perfect scenario of buying a home would be. If you can tell me what that picture is, I will have it in my mind, too. When we are both looking at the same picture, it's a lot easier to achieve your desired outcome.
1. Describe the perfect home selling/buying outcome.
- Imagine we have closed the transaction and you're looking back on it.
- What would be perfect?
- What about that is important to you?
- So that I can really get to know your needs, why is that important to you?
2. Where would you ideally like to be in five years? 10 years?
3. What is your biggest concern about this process?
- What about that causes you the most fear?
- If that happened, how would it affect you?
4. What else are you afraid of about in this process?
- If that happened, how would it affect you?
5. Tell me about your past experiences (buying, selling).
6. Describe what excellent service means to you.
7. How would you ideally like to work with me?
8. Tell me a little about yourself ' what do you like to do when you're not buying/selling a home?
9. What's one thing I'll discover about you as we work together during the next several weeks that I don't know about you right now?
